Sheridan from The Shoebox Revolution arrived in her car to collect some socks and soup donated by the Central Coast Bulldogs and Freemasons on the Central Coast.
She needed a bigger car.
Last week, Sheridan from The Shoebox Revolution arrived at the training grounds of the Central Coast Bulldogs to collect some socks and soup cans that had been donated by the Bulldogs and the Freemasons. However, she didn’t count on the enthusiasm of the team who had managed to collect over one thousand pairs of socks and soup cans for the many people on the Central Coast who are struggling.
The Socks & Soup Drive organised by #ShoeboxRevolution aims to warm the toes and the belly’s of those doing it tough on the Central Coast. Socks are the most needed and least donated items received by the homeless community and a tin of soup is an ideal nutritious winter meal for those in the community without a home.
The #ShoeboxRevolution was set up to help those who are in need, without shelter and living on the streets. They are passionate about raising awareness on the housing issues in Australia, and gathering donations for those who currently find themselves without a home.
Paul Pafumi from the Central Coast Bulldogs and Chris Matthews from Freemasons on the Central Coast presented Sheridan with the vast collection.
Sheridan responded with…
“I’m amazed, so much in the one spot. You all must have worked really hard. I’m lost for words at the generosity of the Freemasons and the Bulldogs – I don’t think I’ll fit all these goods in my car.”
She didn’t.
After loading the car, we all got together and enjoyed a fantastic BBQ put together by the Bulldogs.
